Stranger Things e Barriere sono stati i grandi vincitori agli Screen Actors Guild Awards di ieri sera (29 gennaio 2017).
Il cast della serie sci-fi Netflix ha vinto l’Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
Il Diritto di Contare ha vinto il primo premio della serata per il miglior cast in un film mentre Mahershala Ali, ha vinto il premio come miglior attore non protagonista per il suo ruolo in Moonlight.
Ali, che rimane il favorito costante per vincere un Oscar il prossimo mese, ha tenuto un discorso emozionale e di attualità sull’accettazione. “Quello che ho imparato dal lavoro su Moonlight è vedere cosa succede quando si perseguitano le persone”, ha detto.
La sorpresa è stata vedere Denzel Washington battere Casey Affleck per il premio come migliore attore. Attenzione quindi anche per gli Oscar, dove il nome di Denzel inizia a prendere quota.
Emma Stone ha vinto il premio come miglior attrice in un ruolo da protagonista per La La Land e lei ha parlato dell’importanza di portare gioia alla gente dato che “siamo in un momento davvero difficile nel nostro paese”.
Orange is The New Black ha vinto il premio Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series per la terza volta.
Nel frattempo, Bryan Cranston, il Walter White di Breaking Bad, ha preso il premio per il suo ruolo nella miniserie “All The Way” dove interpreta Lyndon B Johnson.
I premi rappresentano un forte indicatore per i prossimi Oscar, che si terranno a Los Angeles il 26 febbraio 2017.
